Hands-On Workshops for Young Innovators.
Bring Your Students on a Field Trip to the Club!
Hosted at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley, this 1.5–2 hour field trip experience invites elementary, middle, and high school students to explore their creativity and curiosity through exciting, age-appropriate workshops in design, engineering, and technology.
Each visit gives students the chance to think big, build creatively, and discover new skills—plus, every child leaves with a project they can take pride in (and maybe even hold in their hands!).
If your school or organization is interested in bringing a class or group, please complete the interest form below. To learn more about the Design, Build, and Code workshops we offer, you can read the descriptions further down this page.
Design it.
Creativity starts with an idea. In our Design workshops, students imagine solutions to real-world problems and bring their ideas to life through brainstorming, sketching, and digital design tools. Whether it’s elementary students exploring shapes and colors, middle schoolers planning prototypes, or high schoolers working through user-centered design, every participant learns how to think critically, collaborate, and express their ideas visually.
Build it.
Turning ideas into reality takes hands-on learning. Our Build workshops give students the chance to explore engineering and innovation through activities like model making, 3D printing, and hands-on construction. Younger grades discover the fun of building and testing simple structures, while older students dive deeper into problem-solving, refining prototypes, and learning how design choices affect functionality. Every grade level experiences the power of creating something tangible with their own hands.
Code it.
Technology powers the future, and coding is the language behind it. In our Code workshops, students learn to think like programmers as they create animations, games, and apps. Elementary students are introduced to block-based coding and logical thinking, middle schoolers move into creative challenges with programming basics, and high schoolers explore real-world applications through coding projects. No matter their experience level, students gain confidence in problem-solving, sequencing, and innovation.
