About the Scholarship

The Marta Egan Advancement Scholarship Fund

Empowering Potential. Honoring Legacy.

The Marta Egan Advancement Scholarship was established to celebrate the extraordinary life and legacy of Marta Egan, a woman whose deepest wish was to create a world where every young person has the chance to thrive. Marta was known for her compassion, unwavering service to others, and her steadfast belief in the limitless potential of youth when given the opportunity to grow. This scholarship stands as a living tribute to Marta’s generous spirit and her enduring commitment to uplifting young people. It is awarded to individuals who demonstrate a strong desire to advance academically, develop personally, and emerge as leaders in their communities. Whether you are pursuing college, vocational training, or other meaningful growth opportunities, this scholarship is designed to help remove barriers and support your journey forward. Recipients of the Marta Egan Scholarship are expected to honor this gift by remaining actively engaged and providing updates on their progress. If selected, you will be required to submit documentation of your advancement, this may include academic transcripts, a personal reflection or update letter, a letter of recommendation, or other relevant materials that demonstrate your continued commitment to growth.

Please note: Failure to submit the required documentation may result in the loss of eligibility for future scholarship funding.

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must:

  1. Complete the full scholarship application.

  2. If the application is selected, participatents will do an interview with the Marta Egan Advancement Scholarship Committee.

“This scholarship gave me the opportunity to work with tutors for my college classes. Their support has helped me feel more prepared and confident as I study for my TEAS nursing entrance exam.”

“This scholarship has helped ease the financial burden of tuition, allowing me to focus more on my classes and less on how I’m going to pay for them. It’s given me the chance to stay on track toward my goals without added stress.”
